RiCollection Pricing and Customisation Guide
The RiCollection is our growing portfolio of complete, working applications. Each one has already been built to solve a particular business problem, but it can also be adapted around the way your business works.
There are no fixed prices because the applications—and the work needed to prepare them—are all very different.
One might be included with another Richah service at no additional charge. Another may only need your branding and a few straightforward adjustments. An application such as RiNet could become a substantial project involving several departments, different permissions, existing data and completely new areas of functionality.
A single price range would therefore be more confusing than helpful.
The only accurate way to establish the cost is to talk to us about what you need. Those conversations are free, with no obligation to go any further.
How RiCollection pricing works
| Starting point | What it means | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Included with another service | An application or feature forms part of a website, managed service or another Richah project | Included at no additional charge where this is stated |
| Existing application with limited changes | The application already does most of what you need but requires setup, branding or adjustments | Quoted according to the work required |
| Substantial implementation | The application provides the foundation, but new modules, integrations or a larger rollout are required | Planned and priced as a software project |
Starting with a complete application can save development time, but it does not place a limit on what the finished system can become.
When an application is included
Some RiCollection applications or features may be included as part of another Richah service.
Where this applies, we will say so clearly. You will not be charged separately for something we have told you is included.
This does not mean every RiCollection application comes with every website or service. The relevant service page and your quotation will explain exactly what is part of the package.
Customising an existing application
Sometimes an application already does almost everything required.
It may only need your branding, users, permissions and a few changes to the way information is collected or displayed.
Other businesses may need new screens, automated processes, reports, documents or connections with software they already use.
The advantage is that we begin with a complete, tested foundation instead of starting with an empty screen. We can concentrate on shaping the application around your business.
However, an existing foundation does not always mean a small project. A RiNet installation across several departments, for example, could involve complex permissions, existing company information, staff training and custom modules built around important working processes.
In that situation, the work would be planned and priced as a proper software project.
What affects the cost?
The final cost may be affected by:
The application you choose
The changes or new features required
The number and type of users
Different roles and levels of access
Information that needs to be imported
Connections with existing software
Reports, documents and automated communications
Complicated rules or approval processes
Hosting, security and backup requirements
Training and ongoing support
Whether the work is completed at once or in stages
If the application already meets your needs, we will not invent additional work. Equally, we will not pretend a substantial implementation is a small customisation simply because the foundation already exists.
We will explain what is involved and provide a clear quotation before any work begins.
What does the finished package include?
The exact package will be agreed with you at the beginning of the project.
Depending on the application, it may include:
The agreed customisation and new functionality
Your branding and business information
Existing data moved into the system
User accounts and permissions
Hosting, security, monitoring and backups
Training for your team
Straightforward instructions
Support during launch
An agreed plan for future additions
Anything included in the project will be prepared, tested and ready to use. You will not be handed an unfinished application and a list of technical jobs to complete yourself.
Hosting, support and ownership
Some applications may be hosted and maintained by us. Others may be handed over to your own team, depending on the application and the agreement chosen.
Hosting and ongoing support will be shown clearly in your quotation. A small application used by one team will not have the same requirements as a large system used across several sites, so these costs cannot sensibly be identical.
If you choose an ongoing retainer, you can cancel whenever you wish. We would rather you stayed because our support is useful than because an agreement made it difficult to leave.
Ownership will also be agreed before the project begins. If the arrangement includes a full handover, the appropriate rights will pass to you as part of that agreement.
Let’s work out what you actually need
You do not need to choose the right RiCollection application before contacting us.
Simply tell us what is taking too long, what regularly goes wrong or what you wish your current software could do. We can then establish whether something suitable already exists within the RiCollection.
If it does, we will explain what would need to change and provide an accurate quotation. If it does not, we can discuss whether completely custom software would be the better route.
There is no charge for that conversation and no obligation to turn it into a project.
What would you like to do next?
If you are ready to discuss what your business needs, come and talk to us. If you are still exploring, you can browse the RiCollection, compare it with completely custom software or see examples of what we have already built.

Why doesn't RiCollection have fixed prices?
Because each application requires different amounts of work. One might be included free with another service, while another might need only branding tweaks, and something like RiNet could become a substantial project involving multiple departments and custom features.
Do I own the software after RiCollection customizes it for me?
It depends on the arrangement you choose. Ownership is agreed before the project starts, and if your package includes a full handover, the appropriate rights pass to you as part of that agreement.
What if a RiCollection app almost does what I need but not quite?
We'll customize it for you. You start with a complete, tested application and we shape it around your business by adding your branding, adjusting features, or building new modules—whatever's needed to make it work properly.
