We’re Richah UK Ltd. We’re a team of three based at the bottom of a fell in the Lake District, and we spend our time building software and websites that actually work for the people using it.

Most of the businesses we talk to face the same problem: something in their day-to-day operations is slow, annoying, or completely broken, and "off-the-shelf" software doesn't fix it. Usually, you end up buying a massive corporate tool where one tiny feature is exactly what you need, but the rest of it is just confusing bloat. Or worse, it's missing that one specific feature that would save you three hours of manual admin every day.

That’s where we come in. Whether you’re a one-person shop or a fast-scaling company, we build targeted digital tools, clever automations, and custom apps designed to clear your desk.

Custom Software

We don't believe in over-complicating things. Our focus is on building lightweight, highly specific software solutions. We do this in two ways:

  • Custom Fixes: We listen to what's getting in your way—whether it's a messy spreadsheet that needs replacing or an accounting system that won't talk to your e-commerce shop—and we write the code to solve it.

  • The RiCollection: Over the years, we've built a portfolio of standalone, highly focused web applications designed to solve specific real-world problems. There is every chance that what you need, we’ve already built. The best part? We can custom-fit any app in the RiCollection so it works perfectly for your business, saving you time and development costs.
We don’t use clunky templates, and we don’t do corporate nonsense. Everything we build is fast, useful, and intuitive. It’s built for you—not for us. Here are just a few examples of what is in the RiCollection

  • RiWord — Hands-free voice control for your PC

  • RiCreate — Content and social media generation.

  • RiOrganise — All-in-one workspace for boards, notes, chat and more

  • RiNet — Ready-to-deploy intranet with built-in user management

Custom Websites

We also build websites. But with a difference. Every site we build comes fully wired up and ready to connect to RiCreate, which means your site doesn't just sit there looking pretty. It can pull social media content directly from your pages, generate copy that sounds like you, and keep itself current without you lifting a finger. That's not something you'll get from a template on a website builder — it's something we build in. The price of a Richah website isn't just the design; it's everything underneath it. And if you'd rather hand the whole thing over once it's live, we offer ongoing management too. You can find out more about both websites and management below.

Our Approach

We like to think of ourselves as agile, fast-moving developers.

We don't sit in boardroom meetings for six months writing massive technical specification documents that are out of date before we've even started coding. Instead, you tell us what you’re trying to achieve, and we move. We use modern, lightning-speed development frameworks and smart AI leverage to build highly functional prototypes, test them, and get them working without the corporate overhead.

If it can be built, we will build it. And we'll do it without dragging you through endless cycles of "consultancy speak."

Just the Three of Us

We’re a small, specialized team. We don’t have sales reps, account managers, or layers of middle management. When you talk to us, you talk directly to the people writing your software.

  • Richard Green (Lead Developer): The engine room. Richard builds the core systems to be fast, secure, and incredibly reliable, ensuring the gears under the hood run perfectly.

Meet Richard Green

  • Jack Fox (Design Developer): The user champion. Jack ensures everything we build is intuitive to use, not just functional. If a tool doesn't make sense the second you look at it, Jack redesigns it until it does.

Meet Jack Fox

  • Sarah Cowen (Marketing Developer): The anchor of the ship. Sarah keeps us focused on finishing what we start, ensures our tools solve real-world business problems, and handles the strategy that connects our code to your actual day-to-day operations.

This direct way of working keeps things honest. If we don’t think an idea will work, we’ll tell you. If we know a simpler, cheaper way that works better for your business, we’ll advise you on that instead.

Let’s Talk Numbers

Because we don't do "standard" jobs, people often ask what custom software actually costs. We believe in transparency, so we’ve put together our full 2026 Pricing Guide to give you a realistic idea of where our projects start.

Whether it’s a streamlined automation tool, a custom website or a complex management system, we build to fit your exact workflow—not a generic template. If we haven't already built a shortcut for it in the RiCollection, we’ll build it for you from scratch.

You can see our prices below but be aware, these prices aren't set in stone—we are always happy to talk first and price later. Contact us for a quote; you may be pleasantly surprised.

Let's Fix It

If you’ve got something in your business that’s holding you back—no matter how niche you think it is—get in touch.

Maybe you have a clear blueprint of what you need, maybe your current system is a mess and you need someone to help you unpick it, or maybe you’ve got a "what if..." idea that you’ve been sitting on for months.

Either way, we’re happy to take a look. We’ll tell you straight away if it’s something we can help with, how we’d approach it, and what it’s likely to cost. No strings, no "consultancy fees" just for talking, and no obligation.

Get In Touch

P.S. In case you thought "at the bottom of a fell" was just marketing talk to make us sound ruggedly authentic: it’s literal. We live in the lake District and our office has arguably the best view in the UK software industry. Granted, we can't exactly nip out for a quick flat white, but our morning commute occasionally involves negotiating with a flock of Herdwick sheep who don't care about custom database optimization. Swings and roundabouts.

How much does a custom website cost?

Our websites start from around £850 for a complete starter site and go up to around £5,500 for a fully built e-commerce or complex setup. Most businesses land somewhere in the middle. And that price includes everything — the design, the build, and the content. We write it all for you. No handing you a blank page and wishing you luck. When you factor in what a copywriter alone would cost on top of a standard web build, we're genuinely good value. We publish a full breakdown of what's included at each level so you know exactly what you're getting — no drip-feeding of extras after you've said yes. Take a look at our pricing page, and if you're not sure which level fits, just ask.

How much does custom software cost?

Custom software starts from around £3,500 for a focused tool — something built specifically around one part of your business that's currently costing you time every single day. More involved apps that connect different parts of your operation typically run from £6,800 to £11,000, and larger end-to-end systems start from around £12,000. If something in our RiCollection is already close to what you need, we can customise it from as little as £550. Take a look at our full pricing guide — and if you've got a problem in mind, we'd genuinely love to hear it.

Can you build software for a small business?

Absolutely — and small businesses are often where custom software makes the most difference. Large off-the-shelf systems are built for everyone, which usually means they work perfectly for no one. What we build is designed around exactly how your business operates — your processes, your quirks, your specific headaches. You're not paying for features you'll never touch, and the time it saves you every week goes straight back into the business. We've built tools for sole traders, tradespeople, service businesses, and growing teams. If something in your day-to-day is slowing you down, there's a good chance we can fix it — and we might have already built exactly what you need.
